As the world’s attention increasingly turns toward Africa’s next generation of transformative growth markets, DMA’s Francophone West and Central Africa Forum (WCAF) continues to emerge as a defining platform where political vision, global capital, and private enterprise converge to shape the future of the region.

Now entering its fifth edition, WCAF V marks a significant new chapter in the Forum’s evolution, with this year’s theme — “From Co-operation to Transformation: Building the Future of Development in Africa” — capturing both the rising strategic importance of Francophone West and Central Africa within the global economy and the profound transformation underway across the region as new industries, partnerships, and investment opportunities continue to emerge.

Against this backdrop, government and industry leaders from across Francophone West and Central Africa, alongside counterparts from the United Kingdom, will convene in Conakry to deepen regional collaboration, unlock new pathways for trade and investment, and advance a shared vision for sustainable economic growth, industrial transformation, and long-term prosperity across the continent.

As the host nation for WCAF V, Guinea stands at the forefront of one of Africa’s most compelling investment stories. Anchored by the ambition of the Simandou 2040 vision and the globally significant Simandou project itself, Guinea is rapidly emerging as a symbol of the economic transformation and industrial ambition reshaping Francophone West and Central Africa.
